In a Nut Shell...
Creepy storyline, but the pace was so awfully slow for me to actually enjoy the book.

I can't say I like the characters, either, especially Penny the main character. She didn't have any quality I usually find intriguing in the characters. She was rude (and boring!), well I guess it was part of her being a rebel and whatnot. Still, Penny wasn't an interesting character.
The storyline itself wasn't any better. I normal like the story that keeps things secretive, suspenseful and all that, but it didn't work with this book. I mean, like, come on, throw the readers some bones along the way. At least something to keep the interests going. All the "mystery" and the spirits without any explanations until after half of book had been read wasn't cool. I was confused and seriously bored to tears.
In short, I didn't like this book and maybe it's just me, but it was very confusing and boring.
