In a Nut Shell...
A nail-biting suspense with an insanely good plot twist.

One of many great things about a well-written mystery book is that it keeps you on your toes trying to spot the killer with the provided clues. All I can say about this book is it sucked me in right from the start and I was on the edge of the seat because of the suspense. I loved all the crazy twists and turns this book had; it was just insane in a fantastic way.
The story starts with Max trying to get the detention. Just one little lie makes Max's life a total mess as the story goes.
I have a weak spot for sarcastic characters, and we cannot find one more sarcastic than Max. I loved this boy! I loved his personalities and his wicked sense of humor.
The storyline was spot-on. I loved how it seemed so simple at first, and then things got more and more complicated I thought there was no way the story was going to end well. The plot twist completely blindsided me because I really didn't see that coming whatsoever. And that made it one great mystery. The explanation and how the author tried everything up together were pretty impressive because even a tiny bit of detail given at the beginning of the book was really a part of the big reveal in the end. BRAVO!
All in all, it was one heck of a mystery with an insane plot twist and totally awesome characters. Those who enjoy reading mystery books are going to love this book for sure.
