In a Nut Shell...
A sweet & steamy romance with swoon-worthy hero!!!
*** Note ***
Due to mature subject matter (violence & sex), this book is not suitable for those under 18.
One thing I need to say first is the cover. I really do like the muscle and the tats, but based on the description in book, Jax didn't actually have any tattoos. Or maybe he got those after the ending of story!
The most annoying part of reading a new adult book is having to go through all that secrets, abusive pasts... As for this book, there was a little bit of that secret, but not too much that made it seem like almost 90% of other new adult books. And I am truly appreciate that. I loved the emotional parts of the book, as well as the sweet love scenes.
The characters weren't standout much if it wasn't for Jax. Boy, I really love that character. He was one heck of man. Lily was a little too weak for my taste. I didn't like that she let her ex control her like that. But besides that, she was alright, I guess.
In short, it was a really nice romance. I think it's probably great for those who are looking for a sweet romance (a little on the steamy side, so beware!) without much of that dark, abusive pasts that most new adult books are all about.
P.S.: As much as I'd love to read more of this series, I'm also glad it's over. It's really annoying when the author tries and drags the series for way too long. You might know which one I'm talking about.
